IdealSpan

One of the most common questions we are asked is "What is the ideal span of control?" As straightforward as that question might seem, the research suggests that it depends. Rather than continuing to say "it depends" or worse, making up a general rule of thumb (e.g., 1 to 7), AlignOrg Solutions has developed an easy-to-use web application where you can calculate the ideal span of control for a specific position given the unique conditions in your organization. Click on the IdealSpan logo below to register or log-in to the IdealSpan application.
